Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Intelligence Analyst to serve in a dedicated role with a specific client in the cryptocurrency space. In this role, the intelligence analyst will provide incident monitoring, real-time social-media threat monitoring and analysis, and crisis communication support to ensure the safety and security of our client’s personnel, assets, and operations. The intelligence analyst will be embedded within the client organization, working closely with their corporate security team to deliver actionable intelligence and facilitate rapid response to emerging threats. This role is based at Global Guardian headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Incident and Emergency Response: Provide centralized monitoring of critical events (natural disasters, civil unrest, cyber threats), ensuring rapid outreach to impacted personnel and stakeholders.
  • Internal Incident Crisis Communication Dissemination: Utilize mass communication systems to deliver urgent messages to the Crisis Management Team and operational leaders, adhering to established protocols.
  • Proactive Intelligence and Threat Analysis: Conduct predictive and real-time analytical assessments to identify and manage security, safety, and product-related risks; issue real-time threat alerts to support informed decision-making and incident reduction.
  • Mission and Personnel Tracking: Monitor and track mission-critical operations and employee locations in real time, ensuring team safety and swift adaptation to evolving threats or logistical changes.
  • Awareness and Information Sharing: Continuously monitor public/private sector news feeds, intelligence subscriptions, and alerts; share relevant information with the security team to enhance situational awareness.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Security Intelligence Analysis: Monitor and assess global security trends to enable proactive threat response and risk mitigation.
  • Travel Risk Management: Evaluate flight patterns, hotel locations, high-risk destinations, and transportation options to provide travelers with safer choices and risk-reduction strategies.
  • Analytics Optimization: Continuously enhance system analytics to improve response times and boost operational efficiency through data-driven insights.
  • Training & Preparedness Drills: Prepare and support crisis response and evacuation drills by the client.

Tertiary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Crisis & Evacuation Planning Consultation: Advise on crisis response and evacuation plans, ensuring readiness for activation during large-scale incidents.
  • Advanced Technology Integration & Systems Upgrades: Monitor industry developments and recommend upgrades to surveillance, communication, and incident response systems.
  • Strategic Crisis Communication Planning: Design and evaluate crisis communication protocols for clear and timely messaging during incidents.
  • Vendor & Partner Relationship Management: Foster relationships with third-party security providers, law enforcement, and emergency services to enable coordinated crisis response.
  • Long-Term Training & Scenario Development: Develop and conduct scenario-based drills (e.g., active shooter, lockdowns, evacuations) and regular training sessions for GSOC operators and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, security operations, or emergency management.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident response, crisis communication, and threat analysis.
  • Proficiency with intelligence platforms, mass communication systems, and real-time tracking tools such as LifeRaft Navigator, Ontic, Dataminr, Factal, Riskline, or others.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners (security providers, law enforcement, emergency services).

Work Environment & Schedule

  • This is a full-time position located in McLean, VA.
  • Exposure to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals or high-alert security issues.
  • Exposure to sensitive and confidential information.
  • Regular computer usage.
  • Close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus .
  • Frequent sitting and standing.
  • On occasion, perform physical activity when needed.
