Litigation Legal Assistant – Defense
LHH is assisting a litigation-centric law firm in hiring a highly skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to support a team of three attorneys. This is a full-time, in-office legal assistant position.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Salary: $60,000 - $80,0000
Key Responsibilities

Draft, transcribe, and finalize legal documents, court pleadings, and litigation correspondence.

Open and organize new case files, conduct conflict checks, and maintain litigation profiles.

Prepare and e-file court filings (e.g., Appearances, Answers, Motions) in state and federal courts.

Manage litigation calendars: track trial dates, depositions, arbitrations, and court deadlines.

Handle incoming legal mail, time entry, vendor invoice processing, and expense reporting.

Coordinate attorney travel arrangements and maintain attorney calendars.

Review and edit prebills in compliance with client billing guidelines.
✅ Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant or legal secretary in a defense law firm.

Proven trial preparation and courtroom support experience.

Strong knowledge of civil procedure, court rules, and legal terminology.

Experience supporting depositions, oral arguments, and trial teams.

Proficiency in iManage, Prolaw, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple litigation files.

Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
