Qualis LLC is seeking a Database Administrator with two or more years’ experience at Eglin AFB, FL for the 96th Test Wing. The systems supported by the databases involved are 24/7 applications vital to national defense and are used by military personnel at over 60 locations in the US. As a member of an expert team of software engineers, network engineers, and other information technology experts, you’d have a chance to broaden your expertise and share your knowledge with teammates. The person who fills this position needs to be ready to be the database expert for the whole team and will be working side by side with a Senior Database Administrator in order to obtain system specific training. This position is located at Eglin AFB, FL.
Essential Duties:
- Administer, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Advise application developers in developing enhancements to existing and new applications that interact with the supported databases.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience required. Experience may be substituted for education with customer approval.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Relevant Education and Experience as a minimum shall be:
- Master's degree in databases plus at least a year of full-time database administration; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science plus 2 years of full-time database administration; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience
- Must have an understanding of the specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.
- Must have ability to quickly understand the customers overall technical objectives and mission a provide effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.
- Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 96TW as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing the duties.
- Must be able to work e????ectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
- US Citizenship required.
