A well‐established family law firm in The Woodlands, Texas is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least five years of substantive family law experience, is comfortable managing a litigation docket, and is looking for a long‐term home in a supportive, team‐oriented environment.
Responsibilities
· Independently manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, enforcement, and modifications.
· Handle all phases of representation: client consultations, strategy, discovery, mediation, and hearings.
· Appear in court for temporary orders, status conferences, trial, and post‐judgment hearings as needed (occasional but expected).
· Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and orders with minimal supervision.
· Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff in a professional and timely manner.
· Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff to move cases efficiently.
· Meet minimum billing requirements of 32 billable hours per week.
Requirements
· Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
· Active license in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
· At least five (5) years of family law experience, with substantial time spent in Texas state courts.· Strong litigation skills and comfort with occasional contested hearings and trials.
· Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
· Ability to work on‐site Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility to work late as client or court needs require.
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines and a busy docket.
· Professional, empathetic client communication style suited to high‐emotion family law matters
Compensation and Benefits
· Salary range: $120,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and level of responsibility.
· Potential for additional compensation through performance‐based bonuses.
· Minimum 32 billable hours per week.
· 10 days paid time off (PTO).
