Legal Secretary – Litigation & Eminent Domain
Location: Prince William, Northern Virginia
Schedule: Full-time, On-site (M-F, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 37.5-hour workweek)
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000
About the Role
A Northern Virginia commercial real estate law firm seeks a Legal Secretary to support three attorneys in its busy litigation/eminent domain practice. The previous secretary is relocating after 10 years, creating this opportunity for a detail-oriented and highly organized professional.
Responsibilities
- Provide litigation and secretarial support to attorneys.
- Draft, proofread, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
- Coordinate schedules, deadlines, and assist with practice group marketing.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and legal databases (Worldox, iManage, LawBase, Elite, LMS+/Surepoint).
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a legal secretary in a law firm setting.
- Strong grammar, proofreading, and writing skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with legal database systems is highly preferred.
