Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 per year

Our client is a well-established Long Island-based law firm with a strong reputation for handling sophisticated, high-stakes litigation matters. With a 15-attorney litigation department organized into three collaborative teams, this firm offers the intellectual challenge of big law work with a significantly better work-life balance. The firm maintains approximately 1,800 billable hours annually. The litigation practice handles multi-million dollar commercial disputes, real estate litigation, construction matters, and zoning cases at the highest levels.

This is a full-time, fully on-site associate position based in Garden City, NY. The role reports directly to the litigation department head and involves assignment to one of three specialized teams based on current workload and practice needs. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Job Details
Requirements:
JD from accredited law school
Active New York bar license
3+ years of litigation experience
Big law or comparable firm background strongly preferred
Demonstrated trial experience
Thorough working knowledge of court rules and procedures
Experience with e-discovery platforms and document management
Proven ability to handle complex commercial litigation matters
Experience with real estate disputes
Strong motion writing and oral advocacy skills
Ability to draft dispositive motions independently
Experience conducting depositions
Court appearance experience including case management conferences
Excellent legal research and writing abilities
Ability to work independently and manage caseload
Strong organizational skills for handling multiple matters simultaneously
Verifiable references from current or previous employers
Commitment to long-term position (commute sustainability essential)
