Job Title: Systems Administrator - Lead

Overview: Optimized Technical Solutions (OTS) is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator - Lead to manage the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of software systems, networks, and communications infrastructure for mission-critical federal environments. As Key Personnel, this role is central to ensuring operational continuity, user support, and strategic alignment with enterprise technology goals. The Systems Administrator - Lead will also supervise a team of administrators to provide responsive and proactive support across geographically distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead system administration efforts across enterprise systems and network environments, ensuring availability, security, and performance.
- Plan, install, configure, and maintain servers, applications, and communication systems in both local and remote locations.
- Analyze and resolve software issues, end user connectivity problems, and system vulnerabilities.
- Perform system performance tuning, capacity analysis, and deliver configuration change recommendations.
- Leverage automation tools and scripting to enhance administrative efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
- Develop and document system administration procedures and provide training and skills assessments to staff.
- Direct day-to-day administration and mentoring of system administrator staff, ensuring timely issue resolution and optimal resource utilization.
- Provide both local and remote maintenance support, including system upgrades, patches, and deployments.
- Ensure fault tolerance, load balancing, and high availability across application networking environments.
- Lead vulnerability management and security hardening efforts in accordance with federal standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline
- At least 10 years of specialized experience in Information Processing, with at least four (4) years of direct, hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting software systems.
- Active Secret Clearance
Additional Required Experience:
- Experience managing both Design and Operational technical teams supporting Oracle Fusion Middleware platforms with over 300,000 users in production.

Work Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by OTS.
