AVIR at La Hacienda is an in-house subacute rehabilitation facility seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team.
Position Responsibilities

Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients’ functional abilities and independence.

Assist patients with activities of daily living, mobility, coordination, strength, and functional skills.

Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Document treatment sessions and patient progress accurately and timely.

Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and recommendations.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation and nursing teams.

Maintain compliance with professional, facility, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
-
Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license/certification in good standing.

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
-
Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehabilitation is preferred.

New graduates with appropriate certification and licensure are encouraged to apply.
