Job Description
Pride Health is hiring for an Exercise Physiologist to support our client’s medical facility based in Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. This is a 16-week (possibility of extension) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a workday/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a workday/shift.
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
- Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
- Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of dictation equipment.
- Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- BS Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology.
- Preferred one year experience, industrial setting experience a plus.
- Non-Expired Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification REQUIRED.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with an industrial wellness program.
- Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching on body mechanics.
- Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and Workers Compensation.
- Proficient in digital recordkeeping.
Job Title: Exercise Physiologist
Location: Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
Schedule: This is a 40 hour per week position, with a schedule that remains TBD. There is a possibility of four 10hr shifts per week or five 8hr shifts per week. Schedule is currently TBD. Night, evening and weekend WORK will be required; and may not be consistent from week to week.
Pay Range: $23 to $25/hr
