Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, VLANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and firewalls.
- Manage and monitor switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
- Manage Microsoft 365 / Azure AD environments (users, groups, security, licensing).
- Implement and maintain network security best practices, including patches, updates, and hardening.
- Monitor network performance and availability using monitoring tools; troubleshoot and resolve incidents proactively.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the helpdesk and engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when required.
- Assist in planning and executing network upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Network Administrator, Network Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, SonicWall, or similar).
- Solid experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 / Azure AD administration.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Atera, or similar).
- Strong understanding of network security, best practices, and compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented mindset.
- Languages: Advanced English (spoken and written). Professional Spanish is a plus.
Nice to Have (Preferred but not required):
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Security+, Azure, or Microsoft certifications.
- Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Experience with VoIP systems and 3CX or similar solutions.
