Job Summary (List Format):
\n - Develop and implement treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities, and reduce aspiration risks.
\n - Utilize communication techniques to enhance both expressive and receptive language skills for patients.
\n - Lead, guide, and direct speech language pathology and audiology services within the facility.
\n - Ensure services comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
\n - Provide appropriate care and therapeutic services to residents in both short-term rehab and long-term care settings.
\n - Collaborate closely with nursing staff, doctors, and other therapy team members to coordinate patient care.
\n - Treat a diverse patient population with a variety of cognitive, dietary, and neurological diagnoses.
\n - Work within a busy, supportive, and high-energy skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation environment.
\n - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, and guidelines.
\n - Participate in building and improving long-term care and therapy programming for the facility.
\n - Maintain required licenses and certifications (MO State SLP License, CCC certification, valid driver’s license).
\n - Adhere to the facility’s dress code (scrubs).

Med Ninjas Job ID #18894. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
