We are seeking a dependable, long-term Field Technician to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on technical work, working in a team environment, and building strong relationships with customers across a variety of industries. On the job training is provided.

The Field Technician will install, service, and troubleshoot mobile video systems, two-way radios, and other in-building technology solutions. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical knowledge, and a willingness to learn and grow. Candidates with military experience or backgrounds in security systems, low-voltage wiring, car audio, vehicle upfitting, or two-way radio work are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Report to work prepared and on time, adhering to daily schedules

  • Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle, tools, and equipment

  • Install, troubleshoot, and service mobile video, two-way radio, and related systems

  • Perform all work in a safe and professional manner

  • Occasionally work at heights using ladders or lifts

  • Meet with customers to review installation options and project details

  • Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers regarding project status

  • Complete work within reasonable timeframes

  • Accurately complete service documentation

  • Assist with inventory management

Qualifications

  • Positive, professional attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (required)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Mechanical aptitude with proficiency using power tools

  • Willingness to travel within Ohio (paid drive time in a company vehicle during work hours)

  • Pride in quality workmanship

  • Ability and willingness to learn new equipment and techniques

  • Ownership of basic hand tools (specialty tools provided)
