We are expanding our team to include an IT Specialist who can support our technological infrastructure and help integrate artificial intelligence (AI) solutions tailored to the healthcare industry.
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist with a strong background in healthcare systems, AI integration, and compliance. This role is critical for ensuring our technological systems are efficient, secure, scalable, and aligned with healthcare regulations. You will oversee IT operations, manage electronic health records (EHR) systems, implement AI solutions, and support staff with technology-related needs.
The ideal candidate will have the technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and strategic vision to enhance SFSs technological infrastructure and contribute to its mission of delivering high-quality mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Systems Management
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware, software, and networks to support clinic operations.
- Manage and troubleshoot EHR systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.
- Ensure system security and integrity through proper configurations, regular updates, and backups.
- Develop scalable IT solutions to support business growth, including new office locations and increased client load.
AI Integration and Development
- Identify and implement AI solutions to improve patient care, administrative processes, and data analytics.
- Integrate healthcare-specific AI tools, such as natural language processing for clinical documentation or predictive analytics for service optimization.
- Customize AI solutions to meet the clinics workflows and challenges, focusing on cost-effective and impactful tools.
Healthcare IT Compliance
- Maintain compliance with healthcare IT standards, including HIPAA, CARF, COMAR and other regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of systems to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners to maintain secure and compliant systems.
- Technical Support
Provide day-to-day IT support to clinicians and staff, resolving issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Train staff on effective use of healthcare IT tools, including EHR systems, AI solutions, and telehealth platforms.
Project Management
- Lead IT-related projects, such as system migrations, AI solution rollouts, and security upgrades.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships to deliver projects successfully.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in IT roles, with a focus on healthcare technology and compliance.
- Proven experience with EHR systems (e.g., InSync, Epic, Cerner) and AI tools or platforms.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, cloud services, and networks.
- Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and healthcare data analytics.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Java).
- Expertise in telehealth technology, remote patient monitoring, and mobile health applications.
Compliance Knowledge
- Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations and their application in IT systems.
- Experience working within CARF-accredited organizations or familiarity with accreditation requirements.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for protecting sensitive healthcare data.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Proven ability to train staff on IT systems and AI tools effectively.
- Team player with excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing and managing scalable IT solutions for growing healthcare organizations.
- Familiarity with budgeting and cost-effective technology solutions.
