We are seeking a dynamic Transactional Healthcare Counsel to join our esteemed legal team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our organization, providing legal advice and counsel on a wide range of healthcare transactional matters. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex legal issues in the healthcare industry, including regulatory compliance, antitrust matters, and government regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice and support for healthcare transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations, and other strategic partnerships.
2. Interpret and advise on federal and state laws and regulations applicable to healthcare transactions, including antitrust laws, the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and other healthcare regulatory matters.
3. Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of complex agreements and contracts associated with healthcare transactions.
4. Collaborate with other members of the legal team and business partners to ensure that all transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations.
5. Provide legal counsel on the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
6. Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that affect healthcare transactions and advise the organization accordingly.
7. Manage relationships with external legal counsel and oversee their work on healthcare transactions.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare transactional law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
3. Demonstrated experience in healthcare regulatory matters, including antitrust laws, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and HIPAA.
4. Knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape of the healthcare industry, including hospitals, life sciences, and other healthcare providers.
5. Strong negotiation skills and experience drafting and reviewing complex agreements and contracts.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.
