We are looking for a skilled Retail Banking Specialist to join our team in Illinois. This is a contract position within a Bank offering an opportunity to contribute to customer service excellence and operational efficiency in a dynamic retail banking environment. The ideal candidate will excel in handling customer transactions, maintaining compliance with policies, and fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Process a wide range of customer transactions, including account openings, servicing, and closures for various products such as CDs, Money Market accounts, and Retirement Accounts, adhering to bank policies and regulations.
• Participate actively in Community Reinvestment Act initiatives by volunteering with approved organizations during business hours and meeting monthly branch metrics.
• Handle teller functions such as cashing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals, issuing monetary instruments, and managing stop payments.
• Greet customers warmly, build meaningful relationships, and enhance customer satisfaction while upholding the bank's reputation.
• Perform branch duties including opening and closing procedures, cash drawer balancing, and assisting with vault cash reconciliation.
• Process incoming mail efficiently and maintain accurate logs, reports, and control checks.
• Image banking documents and perform thorough quality control checks to ensure accuracy.
• Uphold branch security protocols and safeguard customer privacy and confidentiality in all transactions.
• Proficiency in financial services tools such as ADP and Concur.
• Experience with CRM systems to manage customer relationships effectively.
• Familiarity with reporting tools like Crystal Reports for data analysis.
• Strong skills in data processing and cash handling.
• Ability to answer inbound calls professionally and address customer inquiries.
• Knowledge of buying processes and cash activity procedures.
• Excellent organizational abilities for maintaining a neat and efficient workspace.
• Commitment to practicing security measures and protecting sensitive customer information.
