Role Description The Respiratory Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in New Hope, MN. This role is responsible for providing respiratory care services to home care patients, including equipment setup, instruction, and ongoing support for therapies such as CPAP, oxygen, and related respiratory treatments. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patient needs, collaborating with referring clinicians, educating patients and caregivers on safe and effective equipment use, and monitoring treatment effectiveness. The Respiratory Therapist will document care accurately, ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards, and coordinate with internal teams to support timely deliveries and service. This role also involves troubleshooting equipment, responding to patient inquiries, and promoting a positive, respectful, and inclusive care environment.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated knowledge in Cardiopulmonary and Medicine to assess and support patients with respiratory and related health conditions.
- Strong competency in Respiratory Therapy and Respiratory Care, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and equipment-based therapies.
- Experience or training in Neonatal Intensive Care and pediatric respiratory support is beneficial.
- Current Respiratory Therapist licensure in the state of Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain), and credentialing such as RRT or CRT preferred.
- Experience in home care or durable medical equipment settings is an advantage.
- Effective communication and patient education skills, with the ability to explain therapies and equipment clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail in documentation, and reliability in follow-through on patient care plans.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and maintain professional, inclusive, and ethical conduct.
- Basic computer skills for electronic documentation and use of ordering or scheduling systems.
