Our client is seeking a Help Desk Analyst who enjoys solving problems, helping people, and keeping operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
As a Help Desk Analyst, you will be the primary point of contact for handling incoming tech support requests, resolving software and hardware issues, and ensuring end users feel supported. You will also collaborate with the IT team to escalate complex issues and maintain accurate documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to calls and emails from end users during designated Help Desk hours.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced-level issues with computer software, hardware, and peripherals.
- Escalate complex problems to the appropriate IT staff while keeping users informed.
- Log and track all support requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Set up and install hardware and software for users as needed.
- Maintain user accounts (Windows, email, shared drives, etc.).
- Provide mentorship to junior Help Desk staff when needed.
- Monitor support trends and report recurring issues to improve IT processes.
- Assist with IT equipment inventory and mobile device management.
- Occasionally travel to nearby office locations for on-site support.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and helpful while resolving technical issues.
- Familiarity with common IT systems, hardware, and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (for occasional local travel).
Compensation: $55,000–$80,000 per year based on experience.
