Job Summary

We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with shipping documentation, inventory systems, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

This position plays an important role in ensuring materials and finished products are accurately received, processed, documented, stored, and shipped on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily shipping and receiving activities accurately and efficiently.
  • Enter job information into WW3 and verify part numbers and footage.
  • Prepare hoses and other products for shipment, including:
    • Building and preparing shipping boxes.
    • Packing the correct hose and quantities.
    • Applying appropriate labels.
    • Organizing and attaching certificates of conformance.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers and arrange pickups as needed.
  • Prepare shipping documents and paperwork for transfers.
  • Assist with unloading incoming trucks and inspect deliveries for visible damage before acceptance.
  • Receive raw materials, equipment, facility supplies, and production materials into WW3.
  • Label received materials and place them in designated, safe storage areas.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate warehouse inventory.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving logs and related documentation.
  • Work closely with planners, production supervisors, and team leads to improve communication and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow 5S practices.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures, quality standards, and workplace guidelines.
  • Report production or operational issues to the Direct Lead.
  • Perform other duties within the same or lower classification as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required. International diplomas are accepted; English translation may be required.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with coworkers.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling products, records, and documentation.
  • Ability to complete forms and shipping/receiving documentation neatly and accurately.
  • Comfortable operating a pallet jack and stand-up forklift.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production requirements and customer demands.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing / Lean principles.
  • Experience working with inventory or warehouse management systems.
  • Experience preparing shipping documents and coordinating freight pickups.
