Requirements:

  • In-office position at Minneapolis, MN headquarters, candidate must be local as this position is 100% in-office.
  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience reviewing business service contracts and drafting redlines with excellent attention to detail and accuracy, including the following:
    • Experience using Microsoft Word Track Changes.
    • Experience coordinating and collaborating on contract review aspects that require input between various departments such as the legal department, technical department, and sales or procurement departments.
    • Experience negotiating terms of various service contracts by following established playbooks and escalating internally as needed.
    • Related coursework may also be used to meet up to 1 year of the required experience, such as paralegal or contract law courses or certificates.
  • Must possess strong critical thinking, problem solving, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-starter able to work independently and balance competing priorities within defined deadlines.
  • Desire to grow and develop as a contract professional. Holding or currently in process toward a contract management certification is a plus.
  • This is a mid-level role requiring experience and understanding of various contract terminology and legal analysis capabilities, with opportunity to grow in responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all required documentation is received prior to routing contracts for signature.
  • Route for signatures to execute contract documents.
  • Track and maintain contract review status.
  • Review contract documents for alignment with DC Group’s business policies and risk tolerance, and coordinate or assist with gathering additional details or drafting redlines as needed to ensure compliance. Contract document examples include but are not limited to:
    • Purchase orders and terms and conditions, master service agreements, amendments, statements of work, NDAs etc.
  • Work with several different departments throughout the company, examples include but are not limited to:
    • serving as a point of contact to relay contract information to internal sales team members or others as requested.
    • clarifying client requirements.
    • coordinating and assembling information from internal stakeholders and/or management during contract negotiation, as needed.
    • ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Other tasks or projects as assigned, such as but not limited to obtaining subcontractor compliance documentation or updating standard contract forms.
