What You'll Be Responsible For
As a Commercial Electrical Project Manager, you'll oversee multiple construction projects from estimating handoff through project closeout. You'll lead project planning, coordinate field operations, manage financial performance, and build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of commercial electrical construction projects
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, productivity, and profitability
- Build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors
- Coordinate purchasing, subcontractors, and material deliveries
- Partner with field leadership to optimize manpower and project execution
- Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications
- Manage RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project documentation
- Conduct jobsite visits and facilitate project meetings
- Ensure projects meet company quality expectations and safety requirements
- Identify risks early and implement practical solutions
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience
- Previous leadership experience as a Foreman, Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of electrical construction methods and scheduling
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable reading construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with project management software such as Procore or Bluebeam is beneficial
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician (optional)
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and project management tools
