Position Overview
Our team is seeking a dedicated Workers Compensation Attorney to represent clients in obtaining compensation for workplace injuries and related disputes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law and will be responsible for guiding clients through the legal process while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. If you have 2+ years of legal experience in worker's compensation or insurance defense, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, ensuring their rights are protected and pursued diligently.
  • Conduct litigation and trial preparation for cases involving workplace injuries and disputes.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve fair compensation for their injuries and losses.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, with a focus on legal writing excellence.
  • Manage the discovery process, gathering evidence and information pertinent to each case.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Active state bar membership in good standing in the state of NC
  • Proven experience in workers' compensation law and litigation or insurance defense
  • Strong skills in trial preparation and legal writing.
  • Demonstrated ability in settlement negotiation and compliance matters.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and advocacy skills.
  • Understand contested and accepted medical issues in compensation claims
  • Knowledge of the NC Workers Compensation Act.
