placeM!NT is recruiting for a physician-led medical spa and wellness center in the Bridgeport / Portland area, offering advanced aesthetic treatments in a professional, welcoming environment.
We’re hiring for a full-time Esthetician to join the clinical team. This role is ideal for someone who loves combining visible skin results with a genuinely caring client experience, and who is comfortable working in a fast-moving medical spa setting with clear standards and protocols.
- Schedule: Full-time, typically Tuesday–Saturday, with at least two evenings per week and most Saturdays.
- Compensation: Base pay $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience, plus tips and performance bonuses based on your average service revenue per client and product sales. Full-time Estheticians who meet performance expectations typically earn an additional $600–$800 per month in bonuses, depending on results.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Services & Treatments
- Perform advanced facial and skincare treatments, including custom facials, extractions, light–medium chemical peels, dermaplaning, and basic device-based facial treatments (e.g., microdermabrasion or similar).
- Conduct thorough consultations, including skin analysis, treatment planning, and clear pre- and post-care education.
- Follow all treatment protocols, safety guidelines, and medical directives, and document services accurately and on time.
Client experience & education
- Create a warm, professional, confidence-building experience for every client.
- Explain treatment plans and realistic outcomes in clear, everyday language.
- Educate clients on home-care routines and products that support their goals.
- Encourage appropriate rebooking and product purchases in a consultative, non-pushy way.
Sanitation, safety & standards
- Maintain excellent sanitation and infection control at all times, including proper disinfection/sterilization of tools and equipment and full room reset between clients.
- Comply with all state board regulations, OSHA standards, and internal policies.
Teamwork & operations
- Partner closely with front desk and providers to keep the day running smoothly and on time.
- Support occasional events or promotions (e.g., educational events, member nights).
- Contribute to opening/closing tasks and general treatment area upkeep.
Performance & results
- Work toward clear, realistic goals related to average service revenue per client, product sales, and rebooking/retention, while keeping the client’s best interest first.
- Bring a professional, solutions-focused mindset to the team every day.
Requirements
Must-Have
- Active Oregon esthetician or advanced esthetician license in good standing.
- 1–2+ years of hands-on experience as an Esthetician in a spa, medical spa, dermatology, or plastic surgery setting.
- Day-1 Confidence Performing:
- Advanced/custom facials
- Extractions
- Light–medium chemical peels
- Dermaplaning
- Basic device-based facial treatments (e.g., microdermabrasion)
- Strong, consistent sanitation and infection-control habits and the ability to clearly describe your process.
- Ability to work full-time, on-site, typically Tuesday–Saturday, including at least two evenings per week and most Saturdays.
- Professional, kind, and reliable communication with clients and teammates.
- Comfort working in an environment where part of your compensation is tied to service and product performance (average service revenue per client and product sales), while keeping your approach client-centered and non-pushy.
Nice-To-Have
- Experience in a medical spa or physician-led aesthetics practice.
- Background in dermatology, plastic surgery, or high-end day spa environments.
- Experience with advanced skincare products and making tailored product recommendations.
- Comfort discussing memberships, packages, and treatment plans.
- Interest in expanding into additional advanced services over time (with appropriate training and supervision).
- Bilingual (e.g., English / Spanish).
