Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire an experienced .NET Developer to support the continued buildout of a proprietary Learning Management System (LMS). This is an opportunity to join a collaborative development team working on a modern, cloud-based application built from the ground up.
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled developer with strong experience in the Microsoft technology stack to contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of scalable applications. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning development tasks independently while also collaborating within an Agile team environment. This role emphasizes clean code practices, cloud integration, and automated deployment processes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience within the .NET ecosystem
- Strong proficiency in C# with the ability to write and optimize production-level code
- Experience working with modern .NET versions (8 or newer preferred)
- Solid experience with Entity Framework, including migrations and code-first approaches
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design, stored procedures, and performance tuning
- Practical knowledge of Azure cloud services, particularly application hosting and container-based environments
- Experience using Git-based source control workflows
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to clearly explain technical concepts
Prefered:
- Experience with CI/CD platforms beyond Jenkins
- Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools
Responsabilities:
- Develop and maintain APIs, backend services, and data access layers using C# and .NET
- Build scalable microservices and contribute to architectural decisions
- Deploy and manage applications within Microsoft Azure
- Collaborate in daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies
- Contribute to CI/CD automation and deployment workflows
- Review peer code and provide constructive technical feedback
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across a complex application environment
- Assist with occasional after-hours deployments as needed
- Create and maintain technical documentation
