Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Plumbing Estimator in Orange County to build accurate, competitive bids on large commercial and healthcare mechanical projects.
Impact
- Produce plumbing estimates that decide which major projects the company wins and how profitably.
- Give preconstruction reliable cost data from day one.
- Strengthen the company's position in healthcare and HCAI-regulated work.
- Grow with an expanding estimating department.
Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing takeoffs in Trimble AutoBid, Bluebeam, FastPipe, FastEst, or QuickPen.
- Prepare complete labor and material estimates for commercial and healthcare projects.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and P&IDs for scope, exclusions, and value engineering.
- Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes.
- Communicate estimate assumptions at bid handoff.
- Price Title 24 and medical gas requirements into bids.
- Manage multiple bid schedules at once.
Must-Haves
- Commercial plumbing estimating experience.
- Proficiency with at least one major takeoff platform.
- Ability to read P&IDs and specifications.
Nice-to-Haves
- Medical gas and healthcare estimating experience.
- Field background in plumbing.
Compensation and Logistics
