Job Title: Pharmacist (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Asheville, NC 28805 (On-site)
Pay: $64.27/hour (W2)
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/week) — Four 10-hour shifts, Mon–Fri; hours rotate weekly (9:00a–7:00p or 10:00a–8:00p)
Duration: 13-week contract (potential to convert)

About the Role

A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Pharmacist to join a collaborative healthcare team in Asheville, NC. In this role, you’ll dispense medications, provide patient counseling, ensure regulatory compliance, and work closely with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.

This is a contract assignment with potential for permanent hire based on attendance, performance, and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
  • Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications (dosage, storage, side effects, interactions)
  • Monitor medication adherence and identify potential overuse or medication-related issues
  • Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions per established procedures
  • Educate patients on use of medical devices (e.g., BP monitors, glucose meters)
  • Support wellness services (e.g., smoking cessation, BP and cholesterol management)
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other staff
  • Manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies
  • Collaborate with providers and care team members to resolve medication-related concerns

Requirements
PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) required

  • Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state pharmacy board
  • Ability to work on-site in Asheville, NC
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws/regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Strong attendance required (mandatory attendance during first 90 days)
