Role Description The Semiconductor Analytical Systems Scientist is a full-time, on-site role based in Omaha, NE. This role is responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing analytical methods and workflows for semiconductor applications using ESI’s systems and components. The scientist will design and execute laboratory experiments, operate and maintain analytical instruments, and interpret complex data to support product development and customer applications. Daily activities include collaborating with engineering and product teams, documenting experimental procedures and results, and preparing technical reports and application notes. The role also involves supporting customer evaluations, troubleshooting analytical issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of laboratory practices and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Analytical Methods Development and Method Development for complex semiconductor-related applications.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including data interpretation, problem-solving, and statistical evaluation of experimental results.
- Hands-on Laboratory Skills, including safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of analytical instruments and laboratory equipment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or similar quality and regulatory frameworks in a laboratory or production environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific field.
- Experience with semiconductor, microelectronics, or high-purity materials analysis is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with techniques such as ICP, ICPMS, or other trace analytical methods is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, communicate technical information clearly, and document work with attention to detail.
