Sales Counter / Service Writer

Overview:
A well-established regional distributor of automotive and truck parts is seeking a Sales Counter / Service Writer to join its Omaha location. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service experience and a passion for automotive or heavy-duty parts. You’ll be the first point of contact for walk-in and phone customers, helping them find the right parts or services while coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet and assist customers at the counter and over the phone
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
- Prepare accurate quotes and invoices for parts and service work
- Coordinate with warehouse and service departments to ensure timely fulfillment
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge across a wide inventory
- Handle returns, warranties, and special orders professionally
- Build long-term relationships through excellent service
- Keep the counter area clean and organized
What You Bring:
- Experience in counter sales or service writing (automotive/truck parts preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to learn and retain technical product information
- Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, inventory software, email)
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
