As a contract Special Education Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated group of middle and high school students who require an adapted curriculum. This position offers a structured, full-time weekday schedule throughout the entire academic year, making a difference in the lives of those with high levels of autism who follow the extended content standards.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Adapted Curriculum teaching license required
Previous experience working with students on the autism spectrum preferred
Strong understanding of extended content standards
Excellence in individualized instruction, lesson development, and behavioral support
Effective collaboration and communication abilities
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment

What You’ll Do:

Deliver tailored instruction that meets individualized education plans (IEPs)
Support a caseload of 15–18 middle and high school students
Adapt lesson plans and materials to meet diverse student needs
Track and document student progress, collaborating with staff and families
Foster student independence, social skills, and academic growth
Uphold a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
Participate in staff meetings, team collaborations, and professional development opportunities
