Role Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Director to lead our infrastructure and DevOps initiatives. This is a hands-on role—ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic leadership and front-line execution. You’ll manage a team of infrastructure engineers to drive cloud operations across AWS and Azure with a focus on implementing automation and cost management frameworks that adhere to stringent security/compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps and infrastructure engineers.
- Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure, with a focus on automation and security.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring systems.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations, including secure handling of PHI and PII.
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to align DevOps practices with business and regulatory needs.
- Drive cost optimization, outage monitoring, deployment, and incident response protocols.
- Implement best practices for cloud governance and access control.
- Harden cloud network using security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
Qualifications
- 8+ years of DevOps experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
- Deep expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform.
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, AKS).
- Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, and other compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong familiarity with git-based version control systems and associated best practices for release management.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
