Job DescriptionAs a Systems Graphic Programmer, you will develop and maintain graphical interface systems and control systems. The Systems Graphic Programmer will perform required programming to interface graphics to control systems. Develop and implement graphical interface screens according to company standards. The position will also be involved in Research and Development activities; work on tests and pilot runs of new and improved products; evaluate results.Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain user interface systems for industrial process control. Develop and update graphical screens to reflect changes in operations and ensure seamless integration with automated control platforms.
- Support programmable logic controller (PLC) development as assigned. Contribute to the creation of supplementary digital tools, such as mobile applications, to improve operational support.
- Administer industrial control databases. Compile and interpret operational data to support diagnostics, performance analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Track and evaluate performance metrics related to mechanical and utility systems, including but not limited to motors, drives, fluid systems, and energy usage. Present findings through structured reports and visual dashboards, as needed by leadership.
- Manage backup and archival systems related to automation platforms. Oversee restoration procedures and ensure proper retention of version histories and control system configurations.
- Control system access by managing user permissions and security protocols.
- Provide support for new system development projects, including research, testing, and prototyping of mechanical and control technologies.
- Operate from a centralized control hub to oversee remote equipment performance. Document and communicate operational anomalies, production trends, and procedural events such as clean-in-place (CIP) cycles, equipment startups, and shutdowns. Collaborate closely with on-site personnel to ensure optimal plant performance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Completion of a 1–2 year technical program in a relevant field—such as automation systems, industrial controls, or electromechanical technology—is preferred.
- Prior experience working with control systems in a production or industrial environment is beneficial, though not mandatory.
- Capable of understanding and applying a range of instructions delivered in various formats, including written documents, verbal guidance, schematics, or workflow charts.
- Familiarity with core principles of database structure, maintenance, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proficient in general computer operations and common software applications.
- Hands-on experience with programming and scripting tools, including but not limited to PLC logic, SQL queries, HMI design, or Visual Basic, is a plus.
- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify and resolve system and equipment issues effectively.
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational abilities; able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this role.

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.
