Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP
- Prior experience in a school setting, especially at the elementary level, is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and educational staff
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students
- Conduct evaluations, write assessment reports, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and parents to ensure students receive comprehensive support
- Offer guidance and in-service training for staff regarding communication disorders and strategies for classroom inclusion
- Maintain ongoing documentation of student progress and update treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights to educational planning for each child
