Job Description

Production Team Member

Fort Scott, KS | Starting at $24/hour | Full-Time

A long-established, family-owned, military-friendly, veteran-ready manufacturer in Fort Scott is hiring Production Team Members.

This opportunity is especially well suited for National Guard members, Reservists, transitioning first-term service members, early-career veterans, and military-connected candidates who are mechanically inclined, dependable, and looking for a civilian career they can build on.

You do not need years of manufacturing experience. If you know your way around tools, understand how equipment works, can troubleshoot problems, and bring the discipline to learn, we want to talk.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and adjust production machinery
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical problems
  • Fine-tune machine settings for accuracy and productivity
  • Inspect finished products against specifications
  • Help meet production goals without sacrificing quality
  • Work safely as part of a production team

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Hands-on troubleshooting ability
  • Comfort using tools and working around equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Dependability and strong work ethic
  • Safety-first mindset
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to take ownership and solve problems

Military experience in areas such as vehicle maintenance, aviation maintenance, ground equipment, engineering, construction, transportation, logistics, weapons maintenance, electronics, fabrication, communications, or other hands-on technical specialties may transfer well.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Starting pay: $24/hour
  • Three rotating shifts
  • Shift premiums for evening and night shifts
  • Pay-for-Performance structure
  • Saturday overtime opportunities
  • Fully climate-controlled production facility

Military Talent Welcome

If you are serving in the Guard or Reserve, preparing to leave active duty, or recently separated after your first enlistment, this can be a strong bridge into civilian manufacturing.

Your military job title does not have to match the role.

What matters is whether you can learn the equipment, solve problems, work safely, show up, and do the job right.
