Job DescriptionStaffing Network is seeking laborer sorters for a special two-day project in Dyersville, IA 52040 for a large Waste Company. $20.00/hr. Wednesday 8/12 (8am – 3pm)Friday 8/14 (8am – 3pm)
Job Summary:
- Team members will work directly with event-generated waste, including food waste, beverage containers, and packaging to sort materials into designated waste streams.
- Primary duties: Follow all safety protocols and report safety concerns or hazards to supervisors.
- Empty event waste bags onto sorting tables.
- Sort materials into designated recycling, compost, and trash streams from event waste bags in accordance with diversion guidelines.
- Identify and separate non-recyclable contaminants.
- Place sorted materials into designated dumpsters.
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and breakdown of the sorting area as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Potentially lift and move bags up to 30 pounds.
