Resident Experience Weekend Assistant This position is responsible for assisting their supervisor with providing diversified programs of individual and group activities that will enable each resident to engage in programs focused on 6 dimensions of wellness: spiritual/emotional, physical, intellectual, social connections, creative, and purposeful service activities within the community, in order to sustain and promote each resident’s potential, happiness and sense of usefulness to self and others. This position is responsible for providing programing that residents consider fun and engaging. This position helps their supervisor to create a fun and lively environment within the community.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This is a part-time position averaging 15-20 hours per week.
  • This position requires working weekends and some evenings.
  • The schedule is Saturdays and Sundays, with a few hours during the week, mostly on Mondays and Wednesdays.
  • Candidates must be available on the weekends and some evenings, as they are a required part of this role.
  • Is flexible in work schedule to accommodate special events and evening/weekend programs.
  • Bartending experience is preferred. This position will require serving of beverages during pub social and events.
  • Provides outstanding services to all residents, family members, and visitors.
  • Follows company policies, signature program guidelines and expectations when leading activities.
  • Drives the company van as needed.
  • Assists with transportation for activity outings and regularly scheduled group trips.
  • Works collaboratively with supervisor to create a positive, hospitality-oriented atmosphere for all residents.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned by supervisor to ensure smooth operation of the program and to meet resident needs.
  • Identifies to supervisor needed supplies for planned activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a variety of personalities.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of residents, tenants, and/or guests.
  • Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.

Working Conditions:

This position works within the Senior Living Community, where there may be possible exposure to communicable diseases and infection, exposure to latex, possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens, possible exposure to various chemical, infectious, or biological hazards, and possible exposure to pets.
