As a Manufacturing Equipment Reliability Technician, you’ll keep a high-volume manufacturing environment running at peak performance by diagnosing issues, repairing mechanical systems, and staying ahead of failures through disciplined preventive maintenance.
What you'll tackle
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on production machinery to restore uptime quickly.
- Respond rapidly to breakdowns to minimize downtime and protect throughput.
- Repair and replace conveyors, conveyor components, bearings, gearboxes, and electric motors.
- Independently perform shaft alignments on rotating equipment.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on compounding lines.
- Inspect bearings, couplings, belts, chains, and similar components for wear and condition.
- Use mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment documentation to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Monitor and clear material build-up to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Assist with major repairs, equipment installations, and changeouts.
- Identify recurring failures and recommend long-term corrective actions.
- Work safely while supporting continuous production operations.
What you bring
- Proven mechanical troubleshooting ability in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on experience with rotating equipment, including conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, and motors.
- Demonstrated competence performing precise shaft alignments.
- Experience replacing conveyors and related components.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Track record of completing preventive maintenance routes with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and clear communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around moving industrial equipment.
