Position Summary:
Contributes to the development of medical devices. Main responsibilities include developing tests, fixture design, product prototyping, documentation, and product performance testing
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct product performance bench testing
- Build or assemble prototype materials, components, subassemblies and assemblies
- Modify product designs to evaluate ideas.
- Construct, operate, troubleshoot, adjust, maintain and test equipment, systems or products
- Develop tests for characterizing product
- Perform testing and analyze data and write reports
- Review or develop processing or manufacturing instructions
- Maintain detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing and analysis
- Record data following good documentation practices
- Ability to solve problems and work with minimal supervision
- Perform job functions in accordance with applicable GMP and ISO guidelines
- Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws/standards
- Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED
- Enrolled in a college level engineering or microbiology program
- Demonstrated interest in Medical Device Development, Quality Systems, Inspection, or Quality Engineering
- Computer skills including understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
