Title: Infusion Scheduling Specialist
Job Type: Contract 3+ months
Location: Coon Rapids, MN (onsite) M-F 8AM - 4:30PM
About the Role
TalentFish is seeking an experienced Infusion Scheduling Specialist to support a healthcare organization's patient access and scheduling operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong healthcare scheduling experience, particularly in infusion services and complex provider scheduling.
Infusion scheduling experience is required, with a strong preference for candidates who have scheduled oncology infusion services. The Infusion Scheduling Specialist will coordinate complex patient and provider schedules, manage referrals, support insurance verification and prior-authorization processes, and help ensure a seamless patient experience from registration through scheduling.
Ideal Candidate Profile / Key Requirements
- Infusion scheduling experience is required.
- Experience with Oncology infusion preferred, but candidates with infusion scheduling in other specialties will also be considered.
- Recent Epic scheduling experience.
- Allina Health experience combined with infusion scheduling experience strongly preferred.
- Complex provider scheduling.
- Insurance verification.
- Prior authorizations.
- Referral management.
- Patient registration and patient access experience.

- Experience managing patient referrals and associated documentation.
- Patient registration or patient-access experience.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and customer-service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology infusion scheduling experience.
- Previous Allina Health experience combined with infusion scheduling experience.
Infusion scheduling experience is required. Previous Allina Health experience without infusion scheduling experience will not meet the position requirements.
What You'll Do
- Schedule infusion appointments across multiple departments and appointment types.
- Coordinate complex patient, provider, and treatment schedules.
- Use Epic to schedule appointments, update patient information, and support patient access workflows.
- Coordinate and verify insurance eligibility and coverage.
- Obtain, process, and track prior authorizations to help ensure services are approved before treatment.
- Manage patient referrals, required documentation and follow-up activities.
- Support patient registration and other patient access activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, clinical teams, insurance companies, and internal departments.
- Help ensure patients are scheduled correctly and receive timely access to necessary care.
- Maintain accurate patient and scheduling information while following healthcare privacy and compliance requirements.
- Provide a high level of customer service while navigating complex scheduling and access needs.
Compensation and Employment
This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. The expected hourly pay range is $20–$25 per hour W2, depending on experience and qualifications. This role qualifies for benefits including paid time off and optional health insurance plans.
This facility requires Minnesota DHS fingerprinting in addition to its standard pre-employment screening and compliance requirements. Candidates must be prepared to complete the required fingerprinting and laboratory testing promptly upon accepting an offer to support the targeted start date.
