### About Invictus Counseling LLC

**Invictus Counseling is a growing specialty mental health practice focused on anxiety, OCD, trauma, and related disorders.** Based in Northwest Florida and serving clients throughout the state virtually, our practice is built around the belief that clients deserve treatment that is not only compassionate, but also clinically specific, evidence-based, and purposeful.

Unlike a traditional generalist practice, Invictus focuses heavily on **anxiety disorders and OCD**, including OCD subtypes, panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety, agoraphobia, perfectionism, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), and related concerns. We also work with trauma, PTSD, neurodivergence, relationship concerns, and other issues that commonly intersect with anxiety.

### Our Clinical Philosophy

We believe effective therapy should help people **understand what is maintaining their symptoms and learn practical ways to create meaningful change**. Our clinicians use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, iCBT, and other specialized interventions based on the client's needs.

Being a specialist practice means we place a strong emphasis on **ongoing learning and clinical development**. Our clinicians are expected to continue developing their knowledge rather than relying solely on the approaches they learned in graduate school. Training, consultation, supervision, and collaboration are important parts of our culture.

### What It Is Like to Work Here

Invictus is a **developing group practice**, which means joining our team is an opportunity to become part of something that is still growing and evolving. We value clinicians who are curious, teachable, collaborative, responsible, and genuinely interested in becoming highly skilled in their areas of practice.

We want our clinicians to have both **support and autonomy**. You will have opportunities to develop specialized clinical skills while also developing your own professional identity within the practice.

We particularly value people who are looking for a place where they can **settle in, grow, and contribute over time**, rather than viewing the position simply as a temporary stop in their career.

### Training and Development

Specialization requires investment. Invictus provides structured training and expects clinicians to continue building competency in evidence-based treatments. Depending on role and experience, clinicians may participate in foundational training, supervision, consultation, continuing education, and opportunities to deepen their expertise.

Our goal is not simply to have clinicians who *say* they treat OCD and anxiety. We want clinicians who understand these disorders, know how to apply appropriate interventions, and are willing to continue learning.

### Our Practice Environment

We strive to create a practice that is **professional, collegial, supportive, and clinically engaged**. We believe good clinicians should be able to ask questions, discuss difficult cases, receive constructive feedback, and continue developing without feeling that they have to figure everything out alone.

At the same time, specialization requires accountability. We expect clinicians to be dependable, prepared, ethical, responsive to feedback, and committed to providing high-quality care.

Invictus currently offers in-person services in Northwest Florida as well as virtual services throughout Florida. The practice also works with a range of insurance plans while maintaining private-pay and other access options.

### Who Thrives at Invictus?

Invictus may be a particularly good fit for a clinician who:

* Is genuinely interested in **anxiety and OCD specialization**
* Enjoys learning and developing clinical expertise
* Values evidence-based treatment
* Is comfortable with structured, goal-oriented therapy
* Appreciates collaboration and consultation
* Is receptive to supervision and constructive feedback
* Wants to build a long-term professional home
* Values both clinical excellence and compassionate care
* Is willing to invest in developing specialized skills

Our goal is to build a team of clinicians who are **skilled, curious, compassionate, and committed to the work**—and to create a practice where both clients and clinicians can grow.

**There is peace beyond anxiety, and we believe there is meaningful professional growth beyond simply having a caseload.**
