Position Overview:

The New Car Sales Manager is a key leader responsible for driving new-vehicle sales performance, team development, and alignment with the manufacturer.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can coach and develop a high-performing sales team while managing new-vehicle inventory and OEM programs, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from initial contact through delivery. The target income for this role is $120,000- $150,000 annually.

What You'll Do:

Leadership & Team Performance

  • Lead, coach, and develop Sales Associates to achieve unit, gross, and CSI targets
  • Drive daily accountability through structured follow-up, training, and performance management
  • Build a high-energy culture focused on results, engagement, and retention

OEM & Inventory Management

  • Manage new vehicle inventory in alignment with manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and allocation strategy
  • Monitor pipeline, incoming units, and lot management to ensure optimal availability and presentation
  • Ensure accurate and timely pricing, merchandising, and online listings

Desking & Deal Management

  • Structure and desk deals to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Support negotiations and ensure transparency in pricing, financing options, and product offerings
  • Monitor deal flow to ensure efficiency, compliance, and gross performance

Sales Process & Customer Experience

  • Ensure consistent execution of Vista Auto's sales process across the showroom, digital, and phone channels
  • Partner with BDC/eCommerce teams to convert leads into showroom traffic and sales
  • Drive a best-in-class customer experience that supports CSI and long-term loyalty

Operational Excellence

  • Analyze performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement action plans to improve results
  • Partner with the General Manager and the General Sales Manager on forecasting, incentives, and sales strategy
  • Assist in managing controllable expenses and departmental efficiency

How You're Measured:

  • New vehicle unit sales & gross profit performance
  • OEM objectives, incentives, and program performance
  • Team retention and engagement
  • Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience as a New Car Manager, Sales Manager, or General Manager in an automotive dealership
  • Strong understanding of OEM programs, incentives, and inventory management
  • Proven track record of driving sales performance and team success
  • Experience managing lead flow, digital retail, and showroom operations
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on, results-driven approach
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
