Position Overview
This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position. Essential Responsibilities

Prepare food according to approved recipes, production standards, and food safety guidelines.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to ensure consistent product quality.

Maintain product freshness and quality while minimizing waste through proper handling and portion control.

Prepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and preparing sauces.

Prepare and roll pizza dough using commercial dough equipment.

Prepare and decorate cakes in accordance with company standards.

Assist with granola and other bakery production as assigned.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area while following all food safety and sanitation procedures.

Follow all company policies, health regulations, and safety procedures.

Support team members as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Provide friendly, professional service and contribute to a positive team environment.
Safety & General Expectations

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and other protective gear, as required.

Use proper lifting techniques and utilize hand trucks or other equipment when moving heavy items.

Request assistance when lifting items weighing more than 25 pounds.

Immediately address spills and wet floors by placing appropriate caution signs and cleaning the area promptly.

Maintain a clean work environment by practicing the "Clean As You Go" philosophy.

Safely perform job duties in a fast-paced kitchen environment that includes standing, walking, lifting, climbing, balancing, and handling materials throughout the shift.

Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and courtesy toward coworkers and guests.

Always prioritize exceptional guest service and maintain a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements

Regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Safely move, bend, squat, kneel, twist, stoop, reach, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.

Safely climb ladders when necessary.

Work comfortably in refrigerated or cold-temperature environments.

Wear required personal protective equipment for the majority of the workday.

Respond quickly to verbal instructions, alarms, and other workplace sounds.

Safely navigate confined workspaces and busy kitchen environments.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a commercial kitchen and bakery environment. Employees should expect exposure to hot and cold temperatures, kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, and moderate noise levels. Strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards is required.
Pay Range
Pay Range: (Applicable to California locations only.)
Hourly
$19.50 Minimum- $19.50 Maximum
