Job Summary
Field computer service/support technician with primary responsibilities of configuring and installing Windows PCs and related software. You'll also be troubleshooting and supporting Windows PCs used in a wide variety of local small businesses, working closely with other team members. This job is a great opportunity for someone with the right attitude, aptitude and work ethic to greatly expand their skillset and experience in the field of I.T. and grow their way into future opportunities.
Expected Responsibilities:
· Configure hardware from out of the box and install onsite.
· Maintain and troubleshoot issues coming to a firm resolution for various hardware/network devices.
· Monitor client systems to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues
· Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients as needed
· Collaborate with other team members to implement network and system upgrades
· Maintain accurate documentation of client systems, configurations, and issue resolution
· Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
· Possible Afterhours work/extended Days
· Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
· Physical ability to bend/crawl under furniture, lift up to 75lb, and climb a 6 to 10ft ladder.
· A good working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and grasp of basic concepts involving networking and connectivity.
· First-rate problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
· Elevated communication and social abilities, with the skills to successfully communicate with clients and team members.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Commitment to travel to client sites as needed (will be compensated)
· Flexible hours which may vary but most days being 9AM - 6PM, but some with a later start time for planned afterhours work. Occasional weekend work for planned projects.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or a related field and/or minimum of 2 years of experience in a systems technician role or a similar position.
