If you're thorough and precise, you can earn $60,000 - $70,000/year based on experience. You'll work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and enjoy excellent benefits, including:

YOUR DAY
Our Legal Assistant provides invaluable clerical and litigation support for our attorneys. Organization, accuracy, and attention to detail will be your top priorities as you review incoming mail and emails, update calendars, file documents, prepare correspondence, and arrange court calls, client meetings, court reporter appearances, and more.
You'll work closely with the attorneys to handle electronic and physical files, assist with filed pleadings, and support accurate litigation filing procedures. As you prepare briefs and other clerical documents, you'll check citations, proofread texts, compile exhibits and appendices, and ensure regulatory and procedural compliance. You'll check tentative rulings, track deadlines and subpoenas, and handle other clerical duties to set our attorneys up for success!
QUALIFICATIONS
Can you see yourself excelling as our law firm's Legal Assistant? Here's what you'll need:
- 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary with a law firm
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience
- Knowledge of federal and California codes, civil procedures, and Rules of Court
- Knowledge of legal case management systems, legal formats, procedures, and terminology
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and court-related systems like PACER
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- High school degree or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent work ethic, professional attitude, and a desire to learn more
- Preferred - some college or business school
