\nThis is a 2nd shift. Monday-Thursday , 3:30pm - 1:30am .\n
\n
What You Will Do \n
\n
\nPlan and perform hand fusion, machine welding or other associated metal joining process where standard tools and methods can be used or altered to achieve desired results. \n
\n
\nTypical job duties include, but are not limited to:\n
\n
\nUnder the direction of supervisor/working leader, plan and perform hand and/or machine welding and associated metal joining process to fabricate or repair parts\n
\n
\nWork from drawings, sketches, welding machine schedules, verbal and written instructions\n
\n
\nMake required settings to equipment, gas flow and other parameters to obtain quality welds\n
\n
\nPrepare parts for welding, align and secure details\n
\n
\nOperate computer-controlled welding equipment, activate machine welding cycle or manipulate hand welding torch to complete welding cycle\n
\n
\nUtilize X-Ray film or black light process to determine extent of repairs required, build up finished machine surfaces and repair cracks and other imperfections \n
\n
\nUse a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results\n
\n
\nPerform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions such as operator's check list, to assure equipment operates properly\n
\n
\nPerform similar duties as assigned and refer difficult problems to supervisor or working leader \n
\n
\nMaintain appropriate metal joining certifications\n
\n
\nMay be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed\n
\n

Qualifications You Must Have\n
\n
\nHigh School or GED\n
\n
\n1 plus of related experience, or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0-1+years related experience\n
\n
Qualifications We Prefer \n
\n
\nCertify and maintain a welding certification in a minimum of two metal groups\n
\n
\nExcellent communication skills, verbal and written\n
\n
\nExcellent computer skills\n
\n
\nFlexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime\n
\n
\nAbility to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously\n
\n
\nThe salary range for this role is $ $18.30-$34.40. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.\n

\nThis role is:\n

\nOnsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.\n
\n
\nTypically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience\n
\n
