About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support resident rehabilitation in a skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing quality care, helping residents reach their therapy goals, and improving their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and activities.

• Assist residents with improving strength, mobility, balance, transfers, and daily functioning.

• Promote safe mobility and proper use of assistive devices.

• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other members of the care team.

• Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.

• Encourage and motivate residents throughout their rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Current, active Louisiana Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.

• At least 1 year of PTA experience.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach to resident care.

• Ability to work effectively with residents and interdisciplinary team members.

Compensation

Up to $7,000 per month, based on experience and schedule.
