Based in the mid-Atlantic area, we specialize in creating unique spaces in commercial buildings and are proud to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Production Engineer, you’ll be an expert in the production engineering department. This coach/player position will drive high quality deliverables designed to optimize company throughput and contribution margin. You’ll use your engineering experience to create 3D models in Cabinet Vision, associated documents and release them for fabrication. Coordination with Drafting, Project Management and Production is crucial to push projects forward while meeting budgets and schedules. Your key responsibilities will include:

Be an expert within a department of 3-5 engineers responsible for the development of 3D Cabinet Vision models and associated documentation.

Be the point person for development of new catalog items.

Hone the skills of others in the department with training and education.

Assist the Engineering Manager with scheduling production work orders as they arrive.

Conduct periodic audits of our standards, practices and libraries to keep them current.

Assist the Engineering Manager in developing our ability to outsource Cabinet Vision models for either submittals or production.

Develop a strong relationship with the Quality Control Coordinator to ensure interdepartmental communication.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
A successful candidate will value urgency and streamlined coordination as measured by:

You will be expected to process workorders that will have an approximate revenue level of $4M. As Senior Engineer, your expectation is higher than an Engineers.

Contribution to gross margin via efficient processing of work orders. This will be tracked by using estimated/planned hours vs. actual hours.

Number of shop issues created post engineering.

Ability to increase the department’s output via efficiency and developing successful CV outsourcing agreements.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Minimum of 8-10 years’ Cabinet Vision experience in the millwork industry.

Working knowledge & experience of material, machine and tool limitations.

Experience in collaborating with PM’s and Production Managers to solve problems. Be solutions oriented.

Be inspirational to others around you. Lead by example.

Experience with Cabinet Vision submittals and other engineering platforms (Rhino, Solidworks) is a plus but not required.

Knowledge of AWI standards and specifications.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, etc.)

Knowledge of Innergy is beneficial.
