Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Web Developer to own the development, performance, and scalability of our WordPress platform.
This role is responsible for maintaining and evolving a multi-location website (80+ locations, 1,000+ pages) with a strong focus on performance, technical SEO, and scalable architecture.
This is not a design or strategy role. This is an execution-focused role responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining a high-performing website.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Development & Ownership
- Lead development and maintenance of our WordPress website using ACF and structured templates
- Manage and optimize a large-scale site with 1,000+ location and service pages
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience across all pages
- Performance & Technical SEO
- Improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile performance
- Identify and resolve duplicate content, indexing, and technical SEO issues
- Implement structured data and SEO best practices at scale
- Code & Platform Management
- Write clean, scalable code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP)
- Maintain and optimize plugins, integrations, and backend systems
- Ensure adherence to modern web standards and best practices
- Troubleshooting & Stability
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
- Tracking (WhatConverts, form routing, attribution)
- Plugins and third-party integrations
- Caching, cookies, and site conflicts
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
- Cross-Functional Execution
- Partner with Marketing to implement updates quickly and accurately
- Collaborate with IT on integrations and infrastructure, while maintaining clear ownership of website execution
- Reporting & Communication
- Provide weekly updates on:
- Site performance
- Active development work
- Issues and resolutions

Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in WordPress development (ACF experience required)
- Strong understanding of multi-location SEO and scalable page structures
- Proficiency in:
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP
- Experience with:
- Page speed optimization and Core Web Vitals
- Technical SEO implementation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, proactive communication and accountability

Reporting Structure:
This role reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
The Director of Marketing owns:
- Website strategy
- Prioritization of work
- Content, SEO direction, and user experience
The Web Developer is responsible for:
- Execution
- Development
- Performance optimization
- Technical implementation
This role collaborates with IT for integrations and infrastructure support; however, all website-related work is directed and prioritized by Marketing.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move around for various and sometimes extended periods of time. Capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds infrequently. Must have adequate hearing abilities to effectively communicate with team members and respond to auditory cues and conduct telephonic conversations. Stamina and ability to handle long periods of computer based work. Some infrequent travel may be required.
