Job Description

• DSP will provide and carry out the services in the clients plan of care.
• DSP will be responsible and supervise individuals to whom he/she is assigned.
• Oversee physical care, development of acceptable habits and attitudes; management of individual behavior and helping to meet the goals and objectives of any service plan.

• Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal prep, feeding, mobility, and hygiene.

• Support safe transfers and follow all adaptive equipment protocols (wheelchairs, gait belts, etc.).

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment at all times.

• Escorts individuals to and from community activities as assigned.
• Provides direct supervision and guidance to ensure safety and welfare of individuals.
• Conduct and document monthly fire drills according to DMR procedures.
• Document all service provide specific information regarding individuals care.
• Performs required housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe and orderly
environment.
