Position Overview:
The Systems Architecture Analyst III will support the DoD Chief Information Officer (CIO) in advancing the Information Enterprise Architecture (IEA). This position plays a key role in transitioning from static architecture documentation to a more structured, queryable, and enterprise-aligned digital architecture environment. The analyst will work under the guidance of senior architects and contribute to IEA development, data modeling, tool recommendations, and documentation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development, refinement, and update of the DoD Information Enterprise Architecture (IEA) artifacts.
• Support the translation of architecture requirements into DoDAF-compliant models using tools such as Cameo, Sparx EA, or similar.
• Participate in the structuring and organization of IEA content into a digital repository for improved access, version control, and automation.
• Contribute to the evaluation and design of web-accessible architecture tools and platforms for stakeholder interaction.
• Collaborate with DoD Components and governance bodies to ensure architectural products align with enterprise goals.
• Help maintain authoritative data sources and adhere to DoD data standards, schema, and interoperability requirements.
• Prepare draft documentation, reports, diagrams, and briefing materials for internal and external review.
• Support the planning and facilitation of technical working sessions related to IEA.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in systems or enterprise architecture, preferably in a DoD or federal environment.
• Working knowledge of DoDAF, DM2, and architecture modeling tools (e.g., Cameo, Sparx EA, ArchiMate).
• Experience contributing to structured data environments and digital repository implementation.
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail in preparing technical documentation.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), SysML, and related modeling languages.
• Understanding of DoD CIO governance structure and enterprise data management policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science.
Clearance Required:
Active Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI)
