The Cardiovascular Center of Florida is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our growing diagnostic imaging team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional service throughout the imaging process.

The ideal candidate is experienced in CT imaging, possesses strong technical expertise, and is committed to delivering accurate diagnostic studies that support outstanding patient care.


Position Summary

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT examinations utilizing advanced imaging technology to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and other medical conditions. The position requires a thorough understanding of CT imaging protocols, radiation safety, patient assessment, and quality imaging standards.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures
  • Administer contrast media in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
  • Assess patients for contraindications, allergies, and other risk factors prior to imaging
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or emergencies
  • Ensure optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure through adherence to ALARA principles
  • Review images for technical quality and completeness prior to submission for interpretation
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation within the electronic medical record and imaging systems
  • Perform equipment quality control checks and report maintenance concerns as necessary
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, state regulations, accreditation standards, and radiation safety requirements
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative personnel to ensure efficient patient care and workflow

Requirements:

Qualifications Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R)
  • Current ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or eligibility to obtain within an established timeframe
  • Active Florida Radiologic Technologist License
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Knowledge of CT imaging procedures, anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety practices
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

Preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year of CT experience
  • Experience in an outpatient imaging center, cardiovascular practice, or hospital setting
  • Experience performing Cardiac CT or Coronary CTA studies
  • IV Contrast Administration experience
  • ACLS Certification
  • Familiarity with PACS, EMR, and advanced imaging software systems

Experience

  • CT Imaging: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Cardiac CT/CTA Experience: Preferred

Certifications

  • ARRT (R) Certification (Required)
  • ARRT (CT) Certification (Required or Eligible)
  • Florida Radiologic Technologist License (Required)
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • ACLS Certification (Preferred)
