Systems Administrator (Internship)


The Systems Administrator plays a critical role in supporting both Bonnevilles internal IT initiatives and our external Managed Services customers. This hybrid role combines systems administration, project implementation, customer support and consulting responsibilities. The ideal candidate is technically strong, professional, and comfortable interacting directly with clients to advise, help design, and deliver IT solutions, particularly in cybersecurity, network monitoring, and modern managed services offerings. This candidate is also able to collaborate effectively and respectively in a team and is able to respectfully mentor and provide training when needed to technicians and team members with less experience.


Internal IT Responsibilities
Deploy, maintain, and support internal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, and business applications.
Assist with internal IT projects, including planning, implementation, documentation, and handoff.
Perform daytoday systems administration tasks such as patching, monitoring, backups, and incident resolution.

Act as a Tier 3 or Tier 4 internal ticket escalation for ticket resolution.
Contribute to IT standards, best practices, and automation efforts.
Assist with security posture improvement, including hardening, identity/access management, and endpoint management.



Managed Services Customer Responsibilities
Act as a technical point of contact for assigned managed services clients.
Provide daytoday systems administration and support for customer environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, networking, etc.)

Act as a Tier 3 or Tier 4 customer ticket escalation for ticket resolution.
Deploy and support Bonnevilles cybersecurity and monitoring services (endpoint protection, SOC/SIEM monitoring, vulnerability management, network/device monitoring).
Participate in onboarding new clients, including environment assessments, tool deployment, and documentation.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Join customer meetings to discuss IT strategy, infrastructure health, cybersecurity readiness, and project recommendations.
Communicate the value and technical details of managed services offerings in a consultative manner.
Assist with solution design, bill of materials, and internal project scoping.
Provide technical insight to help clients make informed IT decisions.
